Question

Nice thread!!!!!
Thanks Alec!!!

I have a 330Ci coupe with Koni FSD/Eibach Pro Kit and square Apex 9.5x18 ET35 (255/35) set up.. and i got a nice deal for a complete M3 E46 rear axle with ///M 3.62 diff, brakes, sway bar everything and front axle complete..
I have drilled zimmerman rotors front & rear right now on my 330Ci..

I don't know yet if iam gonna keep my 5sp trans and chop the drive shaft or go 6 speed or M3 6sp with the correct drive shaft..
I don't mind the shorter diff ratio..
Also i don't know if i will keep the 330 rear trailing arms or put the M3 ones..
Iam waiting for the parts to arrive..

I wanna keep my Koni FSD/Eibach suspension..
If i fit the complete front M3 axle to my 330Ci, will my front wheels stick out more than now? (i think the m3 is wider front)

Is there a thread detailing suspension differences between a M and non-M? I swear I've seen it before but I can't seem to find it.

Guys I have some tricky question, but I hope for some help.
Now I'am thinking about M-look to my 328Ci, but now I stuck with such situation:
- I have an offer to buy M3 replica (ABS plastic) front bumper. Seller says that it's for non M coupes, so it should not be any troubles with installation. And I like M3 bumper more then M-tech2 only because of this lip for M3 bumpers:

What differences can be between M3 OEM bumper and M3 replica for non-M coupes ? Can they be so big that such lip won't fit my M3 replica bumper ? Or it's just a question of fitment holes/bolts/etc ?

I'm mobile now so I can't upload the supporting picture to show you but maybe another member could chime in and upload one? But anyho, overall the major differences between a OEM M3 front bumper and a replica is how wide it is for 1 it's significantly wider then a replica one, the Oem bumper is a lot more aggressive looking and has better body style lines then a replica, You can bolt up a Oem m3 bumper to your rebar perfect using a Oem m3 Kevlar bar or if you buy a 01-02 m3 OEM front bumper I believe those used our steel rebar. Aftermarket CSL lips or any lip for that matter will need to be also modified to fit a M replica bumper seeings how it was made to fit a M3 , I'm not saying it's not possible but I don't think it would sit very flush and look good,if you went the OEM way you would've have to do custom fab work to insure you fender lines matched but overall result would look 90x better ... IMO ask me how I know? I'm finishing my OEM m3 front and rear bumper install now I will be ready for paint next week.. Hope that helps good luck

Found some people that already bought and fitted such replica bumper. They said that it's pretty easy to install it, and as to the photos it looks pretty good.

Does anybody know if the headrests from an m3 seat fit on a non sport seat? Also, is the sport seats' headrest the same as an m3?

I just installed m3 18" wheels on my 01 325 and they fit fine. I do get a little bit of tire rub in the back on big dips in the road and hard turns. I plan on getting the quarters rolled soon. Tire size I went with are 235 40 18 on front and 255 35 18 on back. Maybe I should have went to a shorter profile Hope this helps.

This is what it looks like. Click image for larger version

This thread is for OEM M3 parts.

To answer your question, yes the bumper should fit over the stock re-bar. You may have to glue it on there to mount it, though.
