Window seat conversion

House projects never stop and I thought I might share my recent one:

I had these built in cabinets in a room that really didn't have anything else in it. It was too small to put a dining table as-is without looking totally cramped.

I started removing them and built a frame for a seat.

With a coat of paint

And then with a table that wouldn't fit before

It is a much more useful area now and the table basically is tucked away. A very simple, yet rewarding project.

Very cool. Do you have your own router?

I was considering putting a hinge on it and making it storage because I was losing some storage. I realized that it really wouldn't provide much storage and would rather have something fixed.

I wish I had my own router, but I have a friend who is remodeling his house to borrow any tool from. However, I am starting to acquire tools the more things I do. I just need a garage fore everything.
