Best wax under $70

Hey guys. I use my car as a dd. it gets parked in the sun everyday when I'm at work, garaged at night. I'm looking to find the most popular Carnauba wax. This is a list I have come up with so far. Feel free to add your own recommendations.

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax

Perhaps consider something synthetic? Carnauba on a DD sounds like a lot of work to keep it protected. I use Zaino on all my cars, and still bead water when washed at the end of a Chicago winter, I can't get that kind of performance out of a carnauba based product. I know you're in LA, but still...... you'll be waxing the thing every two weeks.

I work at a body shop and I have a lot off free time on my hands. So I was my car once or twice a week. I have read that some of the those waxes I listed last up to 1 month or even more. I also read that the synthetics don't have the same wet look as Carnauba waxes.

Collinite all the way, cheap, long lasting, and works wonderfully.

Now ask yourself if the paint is properly prepped.

Everyone has mentioned some pretty solid waxes.

My favorite is BF Wet Diamond can never go wrong...

Screw having to deal with waxes. Looking into putting a coating on your paint so you rarely have to maintain the surface anymore aside from washing and spraying an occassional detail spray for several years. Heck, look into a product called Hydro2 by Carpro, its a spray on silica (not siliconE) based product that when applied, creates an awesome barrier of protection for a few months.

Waxes and sealants are fun and all, but they honestly dont hold a candle to most of the coatings you will find out nowadays.

Coatings are fun and I fully support them. However sealants/waxes bring out a specialty that most coatings can't produce.

Hydro 2 - easy mode!

Zymol. I love their waxes. I ordered their black version for mine being that it is gloss black. They have some that are crazy expensive but most are relatively affordable. I have had great luck with the Zymol products in general

Im not sure what coatings you have been using, but the candy like finish most coatings leave is hard to beat. Opticoat Pro and Cquartz Finest leave the finish looking like a hard candy shell (not only that, you dont have to worry about the surface attracting dust from the remnants of oils from the sealant/wax.)

Is this something to be used in place of a wax? Or in addition to/on top of?

Great products. I use both the sealant and the "best of show" wax. I apply a couple light coats of the Griots Garage one step sealant after I use meguiars 205 finishing polish and then top it off with one or two coats of the griots garage best of show carnauba wax. I get a great finish using that setup.

Can't stress enough that you won't find a better wax for the price, than Collinite.
