So....tiny update.

The car went off to ACM as see above, and was diagnosed. Basically the SMG unit wasn't receiving enough hydraulic pressure to operate the clutch, hence not being able to move the car, and dropping gears when I go to accelerate.

Picked up the car last night. SMG pump was replaced, along with the SMG fluid, and an alignment. Everything is now 110% better than it was before. Shifts feel crisper, sharper, and a even a little quicker, which makes me pretty happy.

Here's some pictures taken while she was at ACM.

everyone said to do the swap, but i feel like id be way to much of a headache on a DD car, with way too many little hiccups after the install. to do the swap properly, it'd be more than an SMG pump, a lot more...

yeah i understand, one day if you ever decide to its nice to have the option, but there are always a few hiccups with any big modification. thats why i was so shocked when i was reading a 332i build thread and as soon as the person finished installing all the m3 parts onto the e46 sedan, he took it to the track like a day or two after... i was surprised....i'd expect some hiccups. especially after such an operation...

i really want to start stancing the e46 but winter is so close away it'd be foolish... but i'm getting impatient lol. how do you like the rear strut bar? i just got a used front strut bar for dirt cheap, practically free and it's got a few scratches so i was considering either sanding it down to a polished look or just spraying it all matte black... but at this point idk..

the rear strut bar is alright, i havent really had a chance to try to "test" it out. but the rear end feels a tiny bit stiffer. but i have something else up my sleeve for a little stiffening...

Oh ****! Congrats on the roll cage! It's going to look so mean back there! Are you going to paint it to match the wheels?
