$3,719.96 is the estimate from the adjuster before my deductible of $500.

HOLY F*** Sht. That is horrific. However, if that means that they are going to pay to get it fixed instead of total the car, then that's F**** AWESOME!

Do you have any info about that part?

P.S. that might be a Gross underestimate, which is what normally happens when the adjusters first take a look. I had a 1996 mitsubishi galant, simple small car back in the day that got hit while it was parked in the driver's side rear fender. No damage other than to the fender, but because it was all one piece, they had to cut and weld in a new fender and then do all the paint work, etc.. but there were absolutely NO suspension parts to be replaced or other stuff like you have up front and I think that was around $3800..

You have front fender, then front side of passenger door, that whole corner there, frame, suspension, headlight, etc etc.. arrrrghhhhhhhh. It just kills me that insurance will not reimburse if you've obviously spent a boatload of cash getting the car to where it is, it should be compensated for if you have the receipts to prove it, full replacement value for everything you did to the car. That is what friggin insurance should be for.

I know for a fact that its going to cost a lot more than this estimate I just got. I'm surprised they didn't total it because prefacelifted 325's aren't worth anymore than 6k nowadays. My cars going to the best shop in western mass because I'm skeptical on the suspension components. Don't wanna get involved in another accident because the repairs weren't done right or something failed because of the previous impact/stess on the suspension

On the details page of the appraisal is says that my replacement bumper will be a sport bumper with oval fog lights. The car never came with a sport bumper so that's cool but what sport bumper? M-tech 1 or 2? hmm...

I love Julians and I know Shaun and my other buddy Jay who you met at Shaun's that day (who totalled his E320, and then subsequently got rear ended in another C230 he picked up which was also totalled) and now has an 03 530i - would both be down! I will have to get back to your RI gents on this though as this weekend is Cat replacing fun day on the wife's car, so after I see how that goes, and if I will be in solid shape for the winter, we will set it up, I miss Julians!

Just catching up on your story, sorry about your car but looks fixable, glad they caught the guy and hope they f him over hard.

My car is finally coming east next week.. phew man I missed it (been without it since July for various reasons related to sudden/unexpected relocation). Def would be down to meet up with people after I'm back on the mean streets of Boston (at least tdriving, unless peeps meet on the green line lol).

Saw a really tight grey ZHP (at least looks like one) over in Somerville last weekend. Nice car is that's anyone on here...

Have a good weekend, go Pats.

H
