So I finally have the drip and time to do the cooling system. 2004 325i auto with the M56 motor. That seems to be the rub as all of the kits I have found will not fit the M56. The only one I found that says it will fit is Turner and that is an extra $260. What is the difference? The radiator? Would the kits with out the radiator fit? It is interesting because all the kits say M54

Or would I be better off and order the parts individually.

From what I recall (maybe earlier in this very thread) the radiator for SULEV is coated with something to make it compliant. But owners say the reg radiator will fit with no problem. Confirm this with another source before proceeding.

* E46 Cooling Guide (Information w/parts list/bleeding) *

My car has replaced thermostat housing around 80k. Is it different from thermostat on the list or is it the same one?

I have a leak at the connection between the ET mounting bracket and the radiator.
Does anyone know what size the O ring is, or where I can get it?

Thanks!

Take it to a shop. AC units are not something you want to mess with.

Really? Not for all of us. I installed my own A/C in my car that came without it years ago. Just one simple step after another. Worked fine for many years.

Technically, skilled people can do the job assuming they have the right equipment and/or training.

However, the person asking the question is obviously not skilled at this particular task. This is why taking it to a shop is being offered as advice in the context of this question.

Context is extremely important. Never forget it
