Key Fob Problems. Please Help!

Hey guys. I am a new member here. I have been trying to research my problem but I haven't found a answer to my problem. Ok well here is my problem. I have a 2002 325I and the key fob pops the trunk, unlocks the doors. but it does not lock the car. I have to manually lock the car every time. Any solutions?

Thanks guys.

To me it sounds like the button in the key fob is bad. They go bad all the time. Try this. Unlock the car and watch the interior lights turn on. Then press the lock button and the interior lights should immediately start to fade out. If it doesn't then the key is not sending the lock signal and it most likely is because the button is bad......unless the key has been cut open and a bunch of components off have been hacked off, which also happens all the time.
