It is amazing, BIG CONGRADULATIONS.

If you add an automatic transmission you ll be in the mid 8s.

Big big success.

Thanks! It takes a lot more than horsepower to get a car to that point in the E36 chassis. It has been a labor of love to see the car run 11's, 10's, 9's, and hopefully an 8 second pass.

Sorry, this car will never see an auto trans while I own it. If it did, I would be shooting for 8.0 and would require additional cage work and a different turbo again.

Manual Trans 8 second street car FTW

It looks like you could save some weight too... is the back seat really needed? I mean can anyone even sit back there with the cage?

I still have factory cd changer, amp, speakers, huge battery, rear seat, etc. Could take a bunch of weight out pretty easily.

Haha who needs a light car or a fancy (Michael Schumacher) gear box.

All you need is a car built by maxpsi to run 8's....and maybe some driving lessons from mike.

Great work you will see 8's soon I'm sure

It still amazes me the kinds of times Mike gets out of vehicles with less modifications then one would expect. His driving skills are something to be envious of!

The quest for 8's isn't easy. We went to the track yesterday and lost the oil pump and broke the woodruff key on the end of the crank. It tore the crank up bad to the point where we pulled the motor to swap another crank in! It should be back together shortly.
