So ill do a full review this week after i drive the car a bit more but a quick likes and dislikes thus far.

Likes:
1) easy install
2) bluetooth music and telephone work perfectly
3) steering wheel controls work

Dislikes:
1) microphone and all other cables (if you choose optional iphone or aux cables) are all too short to reach from the trunk to the centre console or roof (for the mic))
2) Navigation map cannot be up on screen when using the GROM unit
3) If you're listening to your music and you get a call the music stops. When you hang up the music starts playing through the iphone not the cars bluetooth and you need to reconnect.

Im going to email them about points 2 and 3 as im hoping there is a fix for them

But overall happy with the simplicity of the install and ease of use.

I might even put up a how to guide for installation when i get a chance.

Why go trunk and not dash?

Because of your nav?

GROM BMW Bluetooth Hands Free Car Adapter Kit - TRUNK (BMWTB3) Review

This unit was purchased over other units purely because of its very good customer support, less glitchy than other units and well priced.

The trunk installation was pretty simple and neat with all cables and mess stored in the boot rather than behind the head unit. However i did have to purchase a few extra items (eg 3.5mm cables to extend microphone and aux input) as standard cables were too short.

In regards to its performance, overall ill give it an 8 out of 10.
Positive points
-Its Bluetooth for phonecalls works great, microphone (if positioned correctly) picks up speech very clearly and no issues with dropping out whilst on a call.
-Bluetooth Audio works great too, your phone connects as soon as you open the door and starts playing from the get go (9 out of 10 times).
-Aux cable also works well for passengers who want to play their music with once again, great quality.
-Ipod connection, to be honest this isn't really required, if you've got bluetooth and aux the ipod connection is pretty pointless.

Negative points
There arnt really a lot but enough to lower my rating to an 8.
-If you answer a call coming in on the phone instead of the steering wheel it will not transfer to the GROM Bluetooth, you need to select which device on the phone.
-As mentioned above 9/10 times the phone will connect as soon as you open the door, but that 1 time it doesn't it's a little annoying but a quick -Settings-bluetooth on the phone and you're connected again.
-There is no SIRI button so voice dialing only work if you hold down the home button on the iPhone.
-If you change mode to radio and change back to CD for the GROM unit it again wont connect, this happens more frequently then above.
-Final point, but has since been fixed (thanks GROM support!) - When using Bluetooth/AUX/Ipod connection you are faced with the standard menu screen reading GROM on top, this is fine yet does not allow you to adjust your audio settings or use your navigation. I was instructed on how to fix this (http://www.gromaudio.com/support/usb-config.html) and now I am able to use both Navigation and my GROM device at the same time.

Overall the unit has worked great for the past few weeks, ive worked out how to deal with its quirky behaviour sometimes and recommend this unit for anyone interested in AUX or Bluetooth audio.
