All Wheel Drive E46 M3

Appreciate u sharing with us enthusiasts. I'm also excited about the wiring as well. Mert do u think the 4 wheel drive could be a reproducible option?

anything is reproducible, but if you have been following this thread you know that many of the parts have been custom made (so a lot $ would be needed) more than the average enthusiast wants to put into his/her BMW.

most people would rather spend their money on a Porsche or Lambo...not Mert!!! BMW FTW

First of all, E46 M3 coupe will not accomodate the X system. It can be worked out, at the end of the day road holding of M3 Coupe may be worse.

You need a E46 sedan to start with. As BDUB328I wrote XM3 Project costs and is not a proven system yet. I am a M3 fanatic, keep my 997 TT stock but rather work on M3s.

My next Project is a F32 XM3. 2014 model year, coupe 4 series, S54 B35 twin turbo, all Wheel drive etc....

It may even be a 5.0L twin turbo on a 4 series X drive coupe.... Just need to dial in the XM3...

Re: All Wheel Drive E46 M3

Okay so in theory it's not quite m3 on a track setting but it's going to blow the doors off most modded m's everywhere else

XM3 started to launch.

Launch control @ 4000 rpm & @ 4500 rpm have beeen tested.

Boost is 8-10 psi, can be raised up to 15-22 psi easily.

After the boost build part of lauch control has been dialed in we then took off in 1st gear.

@ 4000 rpm

@ 4500 rpm

No videos of the take off as it was exciting to dial in the overall system.

With a torque distribution of % 20 to front axles and % 80 to rear axles, XM3 launched very well. It was 3 degrees celcius and road surface was slippery but XM3 managed to launch with decent amount of Wheel spin.

At the end of the day, all Wheel drive system worked good, launch control worked good, I have to work hard and practice.

sounds like it wont be long until we have some new records

i can only imagine launching at 4500 rpm and 10+psi is pretty violent

Amazing how quite that things is at idle. You'd never know sitting next to it at a light what that is capable of.

Been working on E36 M3 Euro Twin Turbo and E46 M3 Twin Turbo All Wheel Drive.

Both M3s wiring harnesses, rewiring from scratch, in house, with proper material.

this is MIL spec connector....

Enough with ID injectors, got my Bosch 1000 cc Injectors from Racecomponentsinc in Florida, these 1000 cc are the same Bosch pieces used by ID, but Racecomponents sells them at a much better price. Why pay more for the same part?
Both M3s have 1000 cc primaries + 2200 cc secondaries per cylinder

ICD dash/logging device by Pectel / Cosworth is installed....

Not just a dash but allows 10 extra analogue sensors, digital inputs...

ICD connected to S50 B32 TT + Cosworth GPS Sensor.

Will be able to analyze 1/4 mile and 60-130 mph runs with the help of GPS sensor conncted into Pectel. I.e you can see height, slope, boost, tps, rpm, acceleration g force all in the same software. Add to that Cosworth's 3 axis g sensor....
