anyone know a good auto race store to buy a helmet, etc on Long Island or in NYC?

good question, I need to buy a helmet for autoX and want to know where to pick up one too? and also, which helmet is good for autox

don't know any physical store, I bought my helmet from www.soloperformance.com
The nj bmwcca uses the HJC open face helmet as a loaner at autox events - it's what I bought.

I think there is a size chart on that site... if it's not there, I must have searched for one. I was on the line between large and x-large - I went with the xl, and it is a bit loose.
I believe I bought the CS-5.

I bought mine from Stable Energies in Garfield, NJ. They had a decent selection, and it's nice to be able to try the helmets on.

I tried on a bunch of lids at a local place and found that a couple well known brands were just not comfortable on my skull. I ended up mail ordering a Bell M2 from OG only because I was able to try on a a buddy's M2 in a size that fit me perfectly. Oh, yeah... I got my M2 from OG Racing for $240 in a group buy. Ed
