My Ride: Hopefully an e46 m3
Advice needed please!!!

Hi guys I'm totally new to this forum and this is my first post!!

I'm basically looking for any advice you guys can give me.

I'm hopefully going to own my 1st M3 soon as I'm going to look at one on thurs I quite like!!

It's a 53 plate e46 m3 vert

63k on the clock

With full service history (part main dealer/part specialist)

It's in carbon black with kiwi leather and csl wheels.

With tax/test.

Any advice for things to look out for would be great fully received as I've read about the sub frame and vanos issues which are a bit of a worry.

Thanks in advance!!!

Don't know much about m3's but it's got history and fairly low mileage. Looks good to me. Check the forums for what goes wrong and expect the odd eye watering repair. Other than that I think the gearboxes can be stiff, but they all are m3 or not.

Iirc the subframe issues is for models built (not the same as registered) before Feb 2001, BMW added some extra welding points or something after then, although I'm sure they have their own issues. There's quite a lot on this on some of the M3 forums if you wanted more detail (I'm by no means an expert!)
