2000 323i oil leak. HELP!

So here's my issue i recently got a 2000 323i as I expected it has a few issues but nothing serious one is it's missing a pedal but I settled with the automatic. Then the window regulator was bad.i messed up the first one so I got a new one it's smooth and good, did brakes drilled and slotted rotors I know why pay the extra but I got a good deal anyways I have a oil leak that's been bugging me first I thought is was the rack opened up the plastic skid plate and looks like it's the pressure hose from the power steering pump to the rack then when I look from the top theres oil on the block it doesn't burn off it doesn't look like the valve cover gasket is leaking. Let me know what you guys think

I just got the exact same car with seemingly the same oil leak. I found that the rubber hose that connects the two parts of the oil dipstick assembly to be leaking. I guess its a common problem. youtube it and there is lots of great diy videos

2000 323i oil leak. HELP!

Thanks for your input I'm going to take a day and take the whole right side apart and replace all the hoses or at least the ones that don't have to be ordered

Mine drips a few small drops every day, nothing major.. the mechanic replaced the oil filter housing gasket, but it's still leaking... I'm am not experienced in working on the car, though I would love to learn.. would I be able to see anything just opening the hood or does one have to put the car up and look under it? Thanks!

Try to wipe the area clean to get an idea where the drip is starting from. Possible areas could be the VCG, vanos seal, oil housing gasket, oil pan gasket, CCV. Sorry that this probably doesn't help too much. Hopefully this link helps narrow it down: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=882732

Here is a diagram of the CCV:

I just did my oil change and I cleaned everything up under and couldn't spot much. I think it's leaking from the plastic vent hose
