Struts have ~50k on em, upstate NY salts have not been so nice. I'd have to guess the PO didnt underbody wash often. Rest of the car is rust-free though, and I wash it every week. I like clean shiny parts... My environment likes to eat shiny parts.

I know that feel bro. Hate how bad these roads are in both NY and MA.

Where could I find the rubber inserts for the hood to make the emblem fit right. I was involved in a hit and run and got my hood replaced. But now I can't make the emblem sit it's too loose.

Removed the driver's seat from the car. I had a couple of issues to deal with while the seat was out. The seat back warmer had not operated since I bought the car 3 years ago. I found 2 wires that had been pulled apart. I 'm not sure how this happened. After digging around in the seat back, I found the other half of the heat padding wires. I soldered and heat shrinked my connections and checked it with my digital volt meter. Everything showed well. While I had the seat on my workbench, I sewed the stitching on the left upper bolster. The infamous coupe seat stitching that comes apart is now back together. I used Stren fishing line for the thread.

Took it in for a wheel alignment after replacing the FCABs, RTABs, and rear diff bushing. They can't get my front casters and cambers within specs because they found my front struts to be slightly bent. Oh well I'll take care of the struts after I settle my cooling system overhaul.

From what I understand, it removes gases, condensation, and oil out of the valve cover and cycles it though the system?

Went out for a joyride and heard a weird whistling noise around 2k RPM, went away after the car had warmed up. I got back and started tearing things apart because its nice outside. Exactly what I had thought happened. I'm in a predicament and I think I'll need to buy these for $$ at the dealer part counter, I have a road trip in a couple days and can't get them shipped from Tischer fast enough.

If you're that tight on money, you could just tape it up real tight for a few days. What's dealer pricing on a lower boot?

Washed the car while it was warm outside. Cleaning the wheels was pretty time-consuming

Finally got to painting the lower half of my dash. Used Dupli-color vinyl spray paint. Amazing stuff! Also painted the wood trim to be a stainless steel color with lacquer. That's why I wanted the lower half to be painted black.

Also included 3 pictures of my latest IS300 project. Had to remove the dash to fix the "melted dash syndrome" where the epoxy on the dash gets sticky and comes off onto everything you touch. Glad that task is over and the car back on the road. Its a great DD where the convertible is the nice weather car for me

EDIT: No idea why my pictures are rotated. Ugh.

Drove it to my parents house, parked it in the mud and ignored it to work on my other project.
