How much power? Large gains will require a substantial cost. Small gains can be had from losing weight, a tune etc. There are threads with considerable information that explore the costs, realities and complexities from each approach. Its a heavy car - so little gains aren't going to be felt in any real sense. Don't chase mods that are only rumored to add power.

I suggest you edit your profane language from the post above.

Headers and ECU tuning is the only place you're going to get power. If you are trying to build a race M3 then out with the Vanos and in with some big cams. Don't mess with the intake unless it's a CSL one.

If you REALLY need power then hook it up with some nitrous. I'm pretty sure these engines could handle a 75 wet shot no problem; people had it up to 125 but I think they want to blow it's engine.

You'd be amazed on how fast these cars are if you shed 200-500 or so pounds.

Unless it's a track car how can you realistically remove that much weight?

Passenger Seat (37lbs) I assume this could be realistic if he doesn't have friends or a family haha
Front Drivers Seat (40-60lbs/replacement weight from 14lbs) Put in a racing seat
Rear Seat (29lbs)
Air Conditioning (40lbs) Some people just never use it

Driveshaft, Carbonfiber doors, carbon fiber roof, bimmerworld exhaust (60 lbs) and light rims. Maybe not the 500lbs mark but defiantly over 200 lol. these doors are rock solid

I would've done weight reduction but it's useless since I have a vert and it will always be 500 pounds heavier. It just needs turbo and it will get past it's disadvantage in weight haha.
