The vanos issue is causing the others. The vanos issue is likely the solenoid, the solder joints crack due to vibrations. Besian Systems has a solution, if you haven't done it already do it, it is good maintenance as every solenoid will face this issue at some point.

If you clear the codes do they come back right away? If not, do they come back after a spirited ride?

If they come back right away you might have a broken tab on the exhaust cam hub. If they come back after a spirited ride, it's the vibrations of high RPMs exasperating the solder crack issue.

Go drive the piss out of your car, 7-8k shifts will probably trip the CEL right away. For $150 after core return it's good maintenance anyways.

Replaced the solenoid pack and cleaned the valve body, runs so much better! The ses light stayed off for 2 weeks, now I'm getting the same rich codes as before without any symptoms I was having before???? Maybe a bad fuel pump?

Is there any way to test if it's fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump?

Search "idle drop". Very common, no conclusive fix.

But I'm still getting the P0172, P0175 rich bank 1 and 2 codes. I feel like it's either the fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump? Already have replaced maf, fuel filter, no vacuum leaks and just replaced solenoid pack and cleaned valve body.

Then test the pressure at the fuel rail.

If incorrect pressure it's regualtor? How do you differ between regulator and pump? Won't they both cause inconsistent pressure?

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and checked my fuel pressure and it looks great, but can a fuel pump still not perform correctly? From what I've read on forums the next step is to replace the fuel pump but it seems to be putting out great pressure 68-75psi

I've already replaced
Maf
Fuel filter
Fuel pressure regulator
Hunted for vacuum leaks
Vanos solenoid pack
Cleaned icv

What should be next step?

Cry.

I've read many posts from people like you who unsuccessfully hunt the idle drop by throwing every part at it. The most success seems to be getting a tune or having the adaptations reset.

I'm guessing something is just on the edge of what the ECU expects causing it to misbehave, thus why a tune fixes it cause the tune moves the edge.

Just an update, I believe AA has found the solution to my issue. Pretty simple fix. Looks like the MAF was a little too close to blower and making it go crazy.

Apparently the blowers turbulence near the maf was making it go crazy. I'm waiting on an elbow for relocating maf lower into bumper so I haven't got to test it out just yet!

Just an update moving the maf lower turned off the SES light and runs perfect.
