I concur, I have Firestone Winterforce on my e30 and the thing is a beast. I watched countless AWD vehicles get stuck this year and not once have I. With my RWD e30 I can make a dead stop on a steep snow covered street and take off with no wheel spin.

AND they are bloody cheap.

My Ride: Whiiiite BMW!
The WinterForce is a really good snow tire, but the WS70 is far superior on ice and in wet weather. The WinterForce is closer to the WS50 in performance. All of them of them suck terribly in dry, cold weather, and are trounced by the Dunlop WinterSport M2, M3, 3D, 4D and Michelin PA4 in light snow and dry cold weather. The aforementioned tires are the tires I've driven on in the last few years.

The Michelin Ice2 is actually pretty decent in the dry. Go figure....

I forget which blizzaks I have now, but I know the older ones I had were a lot better.

found this

WS50/WS60/MZ01/MZ02/Revo1 are Q rated winter tires with Bridgestone's tube multicell rubber compound on the outer half of the tire's tread. This compound is very good on glare ice, and very soft on dry roads.

LM22/LM25/LM60 is a harder rubber compound (compared to the tube multicell), so not near as good on ice as the above tires. They are high performance winter tires designed for capable highway and dry road performance while still getting you through winter conditions ok.

even still, there are more than one in each cat, wtf

well, ran it thru for my car anyway

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/catal...&submit=Apply+

only 2 avail are a rft and the ws70

none avail for my honda anyhow so, i'll have to stick with the winterforce anyhow
