Best rain tires for track only!

I have a friend that tracks in the Northeast and he's looking for the best rain tire for his track prepped e46 M3. Thanks for any suggestions.

I would like to know also. Hoosier makes a set but they are expensive. For rain I am considering getting a set of Conti Extreme DW. This is for a NASA performance touring car.

I'm pretty sure he has 18 inch wheels, not sure on tire specs.

Well, it will depend on the sizes he is running as to what he can use, however here are some suggestions:

Hoosiers Wet (best, but pricey and not as long lasting)
Toyo RA1
Hankook Ventus Z206/Z207

After that, just about any 180-200 tear wear rated tire will do in the wet.

Wet = rain? I consider those two different conditions.

Unless you are in F1, it's either wet or dry.

Thanks! He met a guy on that track that crashed a z06 that skimped on tires, so I'm sure he will go with the Hoosiers.
