I was looking at your progress but the thread seems to stop on 2/13/13. Did you finish? I have always been a Ford guy. I have a 2001 325ci with 154K on it. It still runs really strong but I also have a 1995 Mustang GT convertible with 74K. I am going nuts reading about your swap... You dont happen to have a extra set of engine & tranny mounts for the conversion you want to sell??? Lol... I also have a ton of questions for you if you have the time.

Re: e46 ford 302 swap

You should put a longer tube for the intake to avoid sucking all the hot air in from the engine

real nice job, I was hoping you wouldn't give up. Are you using a mustang radiator in that new support you built? And do you have better pics of the driver side exhaust collector area? Id like to see how you bent that up.

Keep it up and enjoy a sweet ride when you're done

Nice choice on the motor to throw in there just wished it would've had a couple mods on it. That block and transmission is good up to ~500rwhp give or take. I am a HUGE FORD enthusiast BTW.

Wish I could've seen the start of this thread could've saved you A LOT of money on a new wiring harness. If you ever need some parts let me know I have a ton of extra parts that I took off my old setups.

My Ride: is low and slow
Whatever happened to this I was so excited about it! I myself have an e30 with a 302 in it, I daily drove it all summer and I love the thing. I'm actually getting ready to tackle the same project you did with my 323ci.. I'm curious to see if you finished and I'd like to ask some questions if possible, I'm getting started next weekend!

+1 show us the e30 until OP delivers updates. Definitely a project I'd like to do in the future.

I have been thinking about doing a ls-1 swap in my 2000 328ci. But I have a lot of questions. Did you have trouble with the electronic system? How did you do it? Can you send me an email? My email is juanmartinez22.jm@gmail.com
Thanks
