what maps are you guys using? Can you load other maps outside of what eonon provides? Should I not buy the maps version of the unit and install my own maps?

I've messaged then about the harness and canbus issues you've experienced, esberelias. Would like to see them at least fix the harness issue and confirm if the canbus can be resolved with an OS update on the D5150

http://gpsunderground.com/forum/foru...gation-systems

I am using IGO Primo and Sygic 12.1.x with good results.

Gift for Fanatics:

1) Sygic 12.1.x WinCE 6.0

https://mega.co.nz/#!pgwHGC5S!Ms6Y8W...tBubywujfO5DcM

2) Sygic Maps downloader (cover maps almost all around the world)

3) Replace CoreNavi.dll file with the following:

http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/67191450/file.html

Now enjoy your Sygic 12.1.x and have fun!!!

Yeah I', in talks with Eonon right now about the whole can bus issue... they asked me to make a video for them to show them whats happening...

Here's a link to that video

http://s85.photobucket.com/user/big_...1f2cd.mp4.html

The lady I was talking to said she's sent it over to the "techs" and she thinks herself its a can bus issue...

I'll have to wait and see what happens

Acting like they've just heard about for the first is not cool. There's a whole thread on ********* on this issue with D5113 and eonon rep was on that thread responding with the same replies of sending it to their tech.
There were rumours here about them developing a new canbus, but I guess that hasn't happened yet.
I hope they resolve it, although I don't have steering wheel controls.

Which one do you prefer? And could you post the same 'for dummies' steps for getting the latest iGo Primo? Is 2.4 the latest version?

TV in Eonon D5113U

Just want to share a post reply I just made on another D5151 thread regarding TV tuner with D5113U users.

Wrote:

"TV function will not work in the USA even you purchase the TV adapter.

Our network is using ATSC signal and their tuner selling is DTV-B which is for Asia and Europe.

Also ATSC signal is not design for mobile/motion use, you can only lock on to a good signal when you are "Not" in motion.

Yes, their are something called ATSC M/H, which is like mobile ATSC, but not that many TV station have this, because they need a different transmitter, even in a big state like CA I am living in, I believed that there are no more than 20 ATSC M/H stations broadcasting at this time.

ATSC M/N signals are like cel phone signals so ATSC M/N tuners are quit expensive because they are rare.

But there is an alternative, it works for me, is that if you still have a digital tv converter box left at home while we changed our tv signal from analog to digital couple years ago, you can use it in your car with the head unit A/V aux in, you just need to find a 120v converter to power the tv converter and a small digital antenna. Then you can enjoy OTA "not moving stationary" TV, I use this method to watch TV when I have lunch in my car outside. Remember ATSC is not meant for use in motion.

Hope this help!"

Enjoy your OTA TV!

mic

The mic is awful with this unit and makes hands free calling with this unit worthless. Any tips to improve the quality?

Hey I'm running into the same problem with the radio wire being to long. Where did you get the right angle adapter for the radio input?

I couldn't put in the iPad insert because it was too long also. Is there a right angle for that too?

Update: On a rare occasion, I use the Navigation screen, well a couple of days ago I hit the NAVI button and the screen was black, no map, menu etc. I ejected the map sd card and the NAVI menu comes up where you can select NAVI, music etc...bad sd card I thought, copied the files to another sd card and launched, got the Sygic menu back but no maps because it says I have to activate my device. Went to the Sygic activate web site, the page doesn't recognize the device code I got on my screen. Sooooo I had to try to find a solution, I figured, time for IGO Primo. Wow, lots of dead links or files that were not archives of any kind found out there, then ... one obscure hit for a guy who did it for a similar 7 inch screen wince radio, his worked out of the box, no mods necessary. I like this much better, I don't experience any lag or performance issues, glitches and it's much more intuitive. Thankful.
