No to both questions. These do not change geometry of the front end in any way other than putting the tie rod pick-up closer to the center of the hub. The new tie rod pick-up location is at the same height that it was at it's old location. That's partially why these adapters sell for so cheap when compared to the SLR half kit.

Here is what they look like installed on the hub but without the tie rod mounted in the new hole. You can see the new tie rod pick-up hole about midway between the two nuts.

Sure there is a suggested line, but they don't discourage drivers getting creative with their lines since there is asphalt everywhere. You can just make up a line in your head and go for it. The crowd seemed to enjoy when I started changing up the line.

The crowd was pretty large, and drivers were super chill and nice. You can get tons of runs in, and it's cheaper than OSW. If I go drifting next month, it'll be out at Greencove again. Mainly because Greencove costs $50 where OSW NOPI costs $75 or $100 day of.

Don't get me wrong. OSW is a good time, but they keep adding more and more regulations which continue to push the budget drifter(me included) away. I completely understand where they are coming from in regards to safety, but Greencove(while arguably less safe) just let me go out and drive after a brief tech inspection. OSW wants me to install a harness bar and fire extinguisher before letting me drive. I know for a fact that OSW's tech sheet is a huge factor contributing to people avoiding that track. It was actually being talked about in casual conversations by people out at Greencove.
Yeah I might have to make it up there for the next one!

I understand why people are having a hard time with the new tech rules, it can be a pain in the ass, but most of the stuff is pretty good to have anyways. I think you'll be fine without a roll bar, and I ended up picking up a $10 extinguisher from walmart and it passed tech lol.

Just bought the SLR kit:

Along with their delrin FCABs.

Question. Anyone know a spot for some drift practice in the greater Portland area? I'm going to try and make the Pat's Acres event in May...

Looks like the hydro ebrake may be sold. If any of you guys need fender flares. heres a pic of them. Definitely needed if you are going to run the SLR kit adjusted out with low offset.

Joining the party here. I will probably be hopping on here with questions from time to time. Got alot of work to do to my car. But im hoping to make my first event in this car at the end if the month or next month. probably osw. The last event that I made it to was at osw, and that was probably 2 years ago...

Im wondering how much the dual mass flywheel is going to hinder the car? Can anyone compare it to a standard single mass flywheel, as far as drifting is concerned?

I still run the stock flywheel and its done perfectly fine so far. Go drive it and learn the car. Once you need a clutch change it out. Wont be that much different.

OSW huh? Can I ask who this is? I've driven my e46 out there numerous times and have no problem running the bank in 3rd gear. Just have to get creative with tire pressure and using the weight of the car. Nice to hear somebody might be coming out there with another e46. Video below of a go pro attached to my car for reference at OSW.

My name is Ron, I havnt been out in a while. My last car was a beat up s13 coupe, and my last event was at osw in 2013 in said s13. Ive slacked a bit. Attatched are some pictures of my last event, at osw, the car, a picture at cfrc, and my current disaster wagon. Hopefully this one wont meet the same fate. Bigger plans for this car.

Good stuff man. I completely understand. My car took a huge hit on the driver's side in the second run of that 5 car tandem I was leading at the end of that vid. The go pro got completely destroyed and reset to before the run began. I probably won't be out driving for a while. Trying to get my priorities back in line. Wishing you all the best with your new chassis.
