Any locals have a Eonon GM5150 installed and could demo?

I am pretty tempted to pick one of these up for my M3 Vert, but also not sure I want to invest that much sight unseen.

I am in Maple Valley, Renton, Eastside in general.. any locals have one of these installed and any opinions? Worth it? Plus and negatives?

I hear they have radio reception problems at times too?

Thanks!

Is it stylus only as it appears to be btw? I wouldn't mind upgrading the my stock system, and this seems the logical way to go, but also don't want to waste the cash.

*edit*

After feeling stupid and trolling youtube.. obviously you don't just have to use the stylus. Sorry for the dumb question. Many looking for that guy on the ground, what do you think opinion about the good and bad of it.

The new hot thing right now is to install a tablet like a nexus 7 into your car. Way better then a dynavin and cheaper

Yeah.. absolutely and I looked quite seriously at installing a 7 tablet into my previous car. I was looking at roughly $750 for install though for the folks to custom a double din frame, run power and proper hookups. I was going to do it, even bought the tablet, but then sold the car for my M3. If you get one with cellular connectivity, you also get real time data while driving which is awesome. With my M3 though, I am not sure I want to do that, considering the changed they would have to make to the center console and like this integrated look that these offer, looking like super OEM, right colored buttons etc etc.

I would also lose steering wheel controls just dropping in a tablet.

The Avin looks great..

Anyone have one of those locally?

So I have purchased the Avin Avant-2 and should receive here very soon. I have also committed to build out a detailed DIY guide like I did for my vert repair, and will be sharing that with Avin and the forums here too. This is going to be an interesting project! HVAC relocate, backup camera install and new Avant-2!

You would not lose steering wheel function with the tablet if you know how to install it the correct way and install and parts would be less then a dynavin unit.

Thanks and assuming it arrives on Monday, I figure I will start install on Tuesday afternoon. I have the single DIN factory business radio now, so will be doing the HVAC relocation as well.
