They've already shipped some kits to Canada, so it shouldn't be an issue.

There's an entire section of this forum devoted to FI.

I'd start with the search button, though.

like others mentioned, start by searching in the FI section.
High level, you will need turbo, intercooler, someone to custom program your software, tear down the and replace internals to cope with the pressure and lower compression, upgrade clutch, reinforce subframe, consider traction (tires), upgrade brakes.
If you are in emissions controlled place, forget this as it would never pass the test (legally).

Why bother boosting an M3? They have more than enough power for street driving right out of the box.

Unless you have a ton of cash burning a hole in your pocket. There are other mods that can net you a decent horsepower gain without all the trouble of going forced induction.

OP, start by buying these books:

Maximum Boost: Designing, Testing and Installing Turbocharger Systems by Corky Bell
http://www.amazon.com/Maximum-Boost-...1325189&sr=8-1

Engine Management: Advanced Tuning by Greg Banish
http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Managem...=maximum+boost

That should get you started down the path of learning what you need to know. Turbocharging a car is a complex undertaking, and it's extremely complex on a car like a late-model BMW. You'd best arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible, your wallet will thank you down the road.

If you want to build a proper kit, you will end up spending x 5-6 times more than a proven kit.

DME / ECU is the critical part of the build, which you may never get working properly.

Either buy a proven kit, such as Maxpsi or dont FI S54.

If you come on down to Toronto, I can take you for a ride in a Stage II AA kit.

Solid option if you choose to go down the S/C path.
