I have a 2004 318ci e46. I have just changed my expansion tank, which split,i have bled the coolant system but the coolant light has stayed on. There are no leaks and the levels are good . I was advised to change the coolant sensor in the expansion tank,drove10 miles each way to buy a new switch, changed it but the light still stays on,HELP PLEASE.

Sounds like there might still be air in the system. Bleed again and check the connector to the coolant level switch to make sure it's in all the way. After that, make sure the radiator isn't clogged and not allowing proper flow.
