I thought it was illegal to sell, not buy? Can't have it shipped to your house?

Edit...thought so....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_foie_gras_law

Quote:
The law does not prohibit the consumption of foie gras, giving it as a gift, or its importation from outside California.
The law is for production only. Order yourself a lobe from the link above, and throw some smoked duck in as a bonus.

There are still places that won't sell to CA anymore even. My sister wanted to get me some Foie from Dean & Deluca NY for my birthday but they wouldn't ship it to me so she had to get me pork products.
*edit* Apparently D&D has a CA location, so I guess that selling ban applies to all their locations.

The link I posted earlier (hudson valley fois gras) will most likely ship to you.

Was in the mood for some surf and turf, so poor mans surf and turf it is....

Had one Tbone, one NY Strip and some shrimp

Meat gets a rubdown

Shrimp gets a bath

Time for consumption of mass quantities.

I actually over-reduced the soy sauce, so it was a tad too salty (not that bad) but I was disappoint...thats what happens when you have a crying baby and you have to step away from the stove.

I wrapped it too tight for the photo op.

I did say it was fusion. I took all the elements I like from various taco/gyro foods from all over the world, and put em into 1. Meat was lamb (middle eastern), hummus on the bottom, salad had some extra stuff for texture, sauce was a green chile, sour cream, garlic, onlion, etc blend, flour tortilla, and chalula. Smack yo mama good son.

Damn straight. Iphone pics make everything look bleh...and actually not lifelike. Makes food look too grey.

Unless you are actually eating your own pets, I am fairly certain that you are the company of many carnivorous members. Post away you poosay.
