Busa, are you surprised that people's opinions change once more information is released? The general public didn't know a lot of this stuff back then.

So it's totally okay for one go from:

"Why has Bergdahl been left behind and practically forgotten by the Obama administration"

to

"This whole pro Bergdahl by Obama is just another example of the Obama terrorist appeasement policy?"

Is McCain general public?

The general public doesn't care. Back then it was a reason to bash Obama. Now the opposite is the reason, logic be damned.

It's Berghdazi!

Im not getting hung up on random people's opinions, but yes, most people jump on the bandwagons. Just like the Zimmerman case...many changed their mind after more info/photos were released.

I think this was a terrible trade, and Obama's motives should be questioned, as should any presidential action. Wanting to close up Gitmo would be quite the legacy for a president with nothing but failures under his belt. Scandal after scandal, his legacy isn't very shiny.

I don't agree on a lot of things with McCain. Listen, it's politics...everyone flipflops. Saying otherwise is disingenuous. This isn't partisan politics, as a lot of big time liberals agree with the dirty republicans...

1) Obama violated the law and should have consulted or at least informed congress.

2) Obama released the men, which were NOT POWs but straight prisoners (the taliban is not a nation or a legitimate army to qualify as POWs) for someone that was known to be a deserter.

This is not a republican democrat issue, no matter how much you and lair would like it to be.

So now Feinstein's opinion counts? Why don't we consult her on the issue of guns?

If Obama broke the law, why does it matter if Bergdahl was a deserter, a hero or a traitor! If he broke the law, he broke the law. No? Leave Bergdahl out of it?

I think so?

OT, in the context of my post, was "off topic" as in e46F off topic section

If you consider that a personal attack, it is small wonder that you hold the opinions you do.

In case you didn't notice, your little chat took place in a public forum. If you want no comments, may I suggest private messengering or a hotel room.

And yes, I am a bit off my rocker. Cray cray.

Now you tell me. I think I loosened a tooth on one of them too but it was a molar so it could be a baby tooth.

I know this is a public forum and no way did I indicate it was private. There are usually multiple conversations that are on-going in a thread between members that carry on at the same time.

The rankest hypocrisy.
Quite unlike "I was against it until I was for it!". That's not hypocrisy, it's PRESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP!!!

Unless your last name happens to be Bush, then it's an affront to the Constitution!

People whose minds are not influenced by fact, usually are surprised that fact can change opinions.

You inferred it was strictly a partisan issue in response to NFRs2000nyc. I showed you a Democrat that was critical of Obama's decision which supports NFRs2000nyc point. I'd venture to say there are other Democrats on the Hill that are critical of this exchange as well.

In regards to Feinstien, in matters of intelligence and national security, her opinion does count , very much so, as she sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee and oversees this country's intelligence apparatus. Just in case you didn't know that.

I'd wager I'm still right when it comes to the true reasons why Republicans oppose it, regardless of whether there are Democrats that oppose it for the same or different reasons.

I did. But I don't find it particularly telling. Example:
Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) is a physician, with an M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Georgia at Athens. He currently serves on the House Committee on Science and Technology as the chairman of one of its subcommittees on investigations.

During a speech last month before the Liberty Baptist Church Sportsman's Banquet, the two-term congressman said:
"All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior."
Broun continued on to explain that this dastardly plot is meant to hide the true age of our Earth. "You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I've found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth," he told the crowd. "I don't believe that the Earth's but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That's what the Bible says."

I've seen that video. It made me sad to know this guy is on the science committee. We're slow to progress because of things like this
