is that a Bahama Yellow 912? very cool.

997 with 12k miles would be a sweet trade, but I am pretty partial to this car

Nice car. Have you looked at the market lately? If you've ever entertained the thought of selling that car, now is the time.

The 50th anniversary is coming up, and speculators have driven the price of early 911's through the roof.

It's a back and forth...bought the car (in rough shape admittedly) for dirt cheap back in 2005 when values were nowhere near today...have put a lot of time and money into it since then. Add in the sentimental capital and the trade off wouldn't be amazing. Obviously if someone walked up to me and said $125k then yes, I would take that. I'd be a fool not to.

But if I did sell it, I know I'd immediately regret it and frankly, the driving experience is so much more engaging and enjoyable than whatever I would try and replace it with. I have never really viewed it as an "investment" even though it turned out to be a good one, so perhaps that's why I'm a little reserved to try and top tick the market for it.

if you've done all the work and it's in great working order it is so fun to drive and honestly they are so easy to work on and maintain.

mine needed more time and money than i have right now to spend on a car like that, but will definitely get another one in the future.
