My Ride: BMW 325ci
Smile New member, introduction and my car

Hello so as the title says, I'm new here. I used to be over at Bimmerfest but this forum seems to have far more resources and members A little about myself I like my BMWs stock and in beautiful condition, I get great satisfaction from just performing maintenance and keeping it in perfect condition. I've had a keen eye on SoCaLe39's thread http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1007409 which is a great example of the perfect maintenance ideology. So I recently bought my newest pride and joy a BMW 325ci 2000, it has 93,000km (57,000mi) which for a 14 year old car is amazing. It has the M-sport package (M-Tech?) M54 engine and is a joy to drive (manual!!). My previous rides where a BMW 318i saloon e36 and a Yamaha R1 04, both of which served me well and have thoroughly enjoyed working on. But I have sold those looking to upgrade and since I don't have time to ride anymore.

Some little things I have done so far is:

New fuel filter (it still had the original )
New oil/filter Castrol Edge
New spark plugs
New air filter
New cabin filter
And today I cleaned the ICV and throttle body
Also replaced the original shifter with the lower weighted ///M variety.

The two previous owners have cared well for the car, with the previous owner replacing front control arms (Meyle) and all new shocks (Bilstein) plus 4 new tyres (Continental sport). They haven't touched the cooling so I'll be looking at that next.

Here is my old BMW

And Yamaha

And finally my newest BMW

Let me know what you think._a_

My Ride: M3 & 323Ci (sold)
looks nice.
just a few things, either that is a very Very late build 2000 or it's a 323Ci with M52TUB25. guess it could be a 2001 325Ci. then again you're in Australia so maybe somethings different for release dates. steering wheel is a 325Ci.
also it looks like someone changed a few things. Those are M3 mirrors and the front bumper is an M-Tech2. But no M-Tech2 sideskirts?? not sure those wheels were available on the 325 down there, here they were not standard. someone has been changing things, I personally like it.

Yeah you're right a lot of things are different, it's all factory extras though. I guess different markets, Australia getting the European models, so things are a little different with build dates. It is a late 2000, the first models to get the upgraded engine etc. Along with the extras you can see it also has LED rear lights which was a later release in the US?

Thanks, it took a long time to find it. Probably about 80% of the BMW's for sale were automatic transmission.
