Wedding Photog Needed

Soo...my fiance and I are going to get hitched soon. But mind you, we're probably just going to do it in the court house (rather splurge on the honeymoon). Soo..wondering if any of you amazing photogs would do a small job like this? Of course I'd pay just like any other wedding but of course I'm wondering what pricing would be like, what do I get, do I need to provide anything etc? I'm getting married at the Orange County, CA courthouse probably next month if not August. It'd be quick I imagine and then we'd head to Ruth Chris for dinner. I'd like to see some of your work of course and then I'd contact who my fiance and I like best.....

.....any takers? Just a feeler. Thank you in advance gentleman

Dude, I'll come take pictures for you.

Upside: I'm not a pro, so I'd do it for free, or for lunch or dinner or something.

EDIT: Would probably need to rent a prime lens for the day. So that would be an expense I'd ask you to cover/reimburse me for.

Downside: I'm not a pro, so your pics will look like ones taken by someone that has a decent camera and has about a half a clue what he's doing, but they likely won't look all professional and awesome and stuff.

If you want to consider it, we could meet up at some point, take some pics of you guys, look at them and compare them to pro shots, and discuss what you're looking for to see if I can reliably produce it.

I know it's a special day and a big deal, so my feelings wouldn't be hurt at all if you looked into it and decided I'm not up to your standards.

Nice but probably not necessary. I'm guessing that capturing the moment will be the number one priority. Plus I think you'll need the flexibility of a zoom. Of course I'm speaking to this specific circumstance of client and photographer.

Hope it works out for you guys.

Take a ton of photos (raw), and maybe I or someone else here can pitch in with editing some of the best candidates. (What am I getting myself into?)

Community Effort!

I would love to be the backup/extra photographer for you, red, if schedule permits
wouldn't want the pressure of being the main since I am not good enough to take wedding photos

My walkaround lens is an 18-200. So I can use that for most shots, especially the ones where I want to zoom in to get close but not be obtrusive.

But if we find some nice portrait spots, I think I'd want to have something like a 35mm f/2 lens for those.

I can bring the fish eye and macro lenses I use underwater and we can get some really eclectic wedding pics with those. "Ohh, look honey, here's a great shot of 12 of the pores on your nose!"

Thanks guys. I think I will do what's suggested: take pics with my Nikon and then just edit them like crazy. It's going to be quick, we're doing it at the OC registrar. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. It's definitely not a big thing at all.

As long as scheduling allows, my offer stands. I'll come take the shots for you if you wish.

But if you have a timer, a remote and/or a tripod, you can do quite a bit on your own, too.

Congrats, btw.

OP, depending on what your hopes are ...or more importantly your bride to be and her family's hopes are for an outcome... Pay a professional. ... You can get a decent price for a 2/3 hr session

It will be worth it.

Oh and congratulations & GL

Not sure what kind of Nikon you have, but the remote for mine was <$20.

Click Compatibility tab: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Pro...Infrared).html

Makes it very easy to take beyond-arms-length selfies.
