Desert shooting trip.....

So, I'm a boot to the forum, and I am rather impressed that there is a separate gun forum here...it brought a tear of happiness to my Pro Second Amendment eye.

Anywho, a few times a year I like to go shooting and enjoy a fine adult beverage in the desert off the 395, north of Victorville, CA.

I'm just curious if others do the same and would like to band together, get away from society for a day or two, shoot all manner of guns at distances from 3 yards to 1000 yards.......and drink...and eat meat....talk crap about the govermnent, etc.

No time line right now, but it would probably be in october when its not hot as balls.

Wrong side of the country for me unfortunately. Also, I doubt I'd get my Form 20s approved in time to exit state with my NFA stuff

I used to drove out there to Hodge Rd. But now I go to Nichols rd in corona. Way closer to OC and BLM land also.

DAMN. I didn't know Nichols road lead out to BLM lands. I'll have to head out there. That's a lot closer for me too. Can you give some more info about that area?

Devious,
The place where I go is do-able without a 4wd. Most of the guys I go out with drive regular crossover SUV's or like a chevy tahoe or equivalent. If you go slow its easy. I tend to drive like a maniac and get into 4 wheel drifts in my AWD truck with it's all-season tires HA! Its motsly flat with some rock in some areas. Ive never punctured a tire ot anything like that
