Halt and Catch Fire (TV show)

Anyone watching this new series on AMC? Set in Dallas in 1983 in what is known as the Silicon Prairie. Follows a computer company trying to develop a faster, smaller computer to compete with IBM.

It's pretty good. The scenery is done really well and the characters are intriguing. If you are into technology and development of computers this is one you should check out

It's on my list to watch but with too much to do and not enough time, it ends up on the back burner until I wrap up some other shows.

I've watched them all so far. It's something different, which is cool. The retro intro to the show is badass. Not sure how/if they'll be able to do a 2nd season.

I have never watched Mad Men or Breaking Bad, or any of those other series people swear by, but I gave this show a chance because I grew up in the 80's, love computers and the history of its origins (Gates vs Jobs), and have worked in high-tech for most of my career. 10/10 will keep watching. I have worked as both engineer and Product Manager (sales), and the chars total capture both sides of the fence in designing, building, and selling a new product in the market. Now it's also giving me the 3rd side, which is the financing of such a big venture, and glad-handling the moneybags.

The 80's decor of the homes also are very nostalgic of my old pastures.
