Word is that they won't function reliably with the new generation PMAG-LRs. Other than that, everything I've heard has been very positive. They're supposed to be very reliable, and they're sub-MOA accurate. Supposed to be around 0.75moa with match ammo I guess. That's pretty good for a non-premium piston AR. I am still on the fence about buying one, but I'm tempted.

I have read that there have a been a few feeding issues but Ruger took care of them. Looks pretty nice for a battle rifle straight out of box.

I read the trigger sucks and some complain about the buttstock, but both seem like easily solutions.

Its is only a few hundred more than the M&P now. I don't know much about rifles but it seems like it is worth more than just a few hundred more than the M&P to me.

^pretty much this.

A buttstock change is easy. So is a trigger. The trigger is a standard AR trigger, so it's nothing a Geissele can't fix. Regardless of which rifle you buy, you're likely going to be replacing the trigger anyways unless it already comes with a Geissele, or unless it's a KAC.

Hard to describe. It just didn't feel right in my hand really. It's a little weird in that it's got a rail on top and then like a flat rail on the bottom (with no notches) and nothing on the sides. No keymod. Front end of the rifle seemed pretty heavy compared to other AR10s I picked up, but I can't be sure...the could be all barel.

The front end will be heavier, but that's pretty typical of piston ARs. The rail is very "tinny" and clangy. I'm not a fan of Troy rails because they're just a little bit too much like a ringing tube of aluminum. I'm not a fan of the rail either. Still, it's a pretty decent setup. $1600 is a pretty nice price.

Any new information on these or one of its competitors?

I am getting itchy...seeing them for $1500 ish.

BTW, This will be the nicest rifle I have owned, so there is no need to compare it to a $4k+ model.

I would likely take the Sig 716 over the SR762 due to the better accuracy of the Sig. That said, the Sig is more expensive. Everything I've been hearing and reading points towards the Ruger being a decent rifle.
