Instagram workflow

How do you get your pics from your camera (DSLR or mirrorless) to Instagram? I'm thinking there's got to be a better way to do it than what I'm currently doing. Here's mine:

1. Upload pics from camera to laptop
2. Edit on laptop
3. Email to myself
4. Save the picture from Gmail to my phone
5. Upload to Instagram

Any suggestions on posting while keeping the quality as high as possible? I also just heard of the app Instasize that adds a black or white border to your image so you don't have to crop.

I do the same occaisonally, and have also gotten fed up with the process... however, the app I use to add the border is called "squaready."

I get them via iTunes to my iPhone. If you have an iPhone, connect it, go to Photo's tab, "Sync Photos From My Pictures" -> Selected folders. In my case I made a file called iPhone which I put the photos I want to put on instagram onto my phone. Also Like KieranG said, Squaready works great.

upload it to facebook usually then save it on my phone, then upload to instagram. I dont care too much about instagram quality because its viewed on such a small screen. I hate cropping because it ruins the overall aesthetic of my page but ill use square ready if I have too.

Buy the EyeFi SD card. Sends them right to your phone as soon as you take them.

I do the same op. Doesn't take much time. I'd spend more time trying to figure out how to sync wirelessly than I would emailing it to myself. I email it directly from Lightroom. Takes a minute or two

yeah, just like breezy mentioned earlier I started syncing using the A7's wifi network. def much easier and I can do it all on location instead of waiting to get back home. i use VSCOcam to edit on my phone.

For those that don't have wifi or bluetooth capabilities, try getting a OTG reader. I just purchased this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Plan is to snap the photo with my SLR(60D) and then transfer image to my Galaxy Note 2 using the OTG reader. I really don't want to carry my laptop around so this makes the most sense for now. I'm also using a 40 2.8 pancake lens as my walk around so it's somewhat lighter.

I will download from camera or iPhone to computer, edit if needed then email to myself and save to phone. The better images will be kept in the "Selects" folder on desktop which contains subfolders for different subject matter. I will update and sync to the Selects folder on iPhone and iPad.

Guess you carry a laptop around or wait until you get home to upload to your PC? Why not just get an otg reader? Just sounds like an easier method. I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks when mine comes in. Lol
