I think no......
the bolt pattern I think are different....
Remember the M3 transmission are Getrag (almost the same found in the e39 540i and ///M5) and the transmission found in any e46 NON ///M are ZF....
if you want a 6 speed manual in to your car, you can buy the 330i ZHP 6 speed

ok, NO you cant use the M3 transmission in your Non M3

Y'all calm down. I thought they did. He thinks they don't. That just means he wants me to research more. It makes since it wouldn't there 2 different transmissions for 2 different models. We are all enthusiasts of the e46. Treat each other as such.

My Ride: '00 323i
All m50 based transmissions (m50,s50,m52,s52,m54 and s54) will fit all m50 based engines. Heck, the mz3 with the s54 had a zf320 5 speed mounted to it.
