You would have to be a complete idiot. Literally could find one with like 50,000 miles that is somewhat normal for a fraction of the cost and put 10k into perfecting it, and still be ahead.
People are out of their mind pricing those cars that high. The e46 M3 is by far the most boring and worst M3 that BMW has made to date. It's amazing to me that a non M E46 is such a beautiful car but the E46 M has never done much for me. People are entitled to price their cars as high as they want however I don't see a huge market for $50k E46 M3s.
no xenon. grey interior. no H/K.
lol OKAY. zero chance i'd buy this car ever for any price. my 328i is worth more to me based on the options/interior alone.
yeah bummer :eeps: [did ordered my ride back in the dayz for my 30 anniv.] Especially with that Gray interior [+ that crappy Premium Pack ].... if it's now: only the SP [ no moon., bk. cloth seats, none metallic and with out even radio if I can - lol]
Probably closer to $25k because of the miles. Maybe even at the 20 mark because of lack of features. If it was a ZCP with 10k miles, $35k all day long.
Lol. The car is amazing... I mean it is a classic car. Period. Ralph Lauren has an Imola 0 mile one in his collection, one of the few in the world like this. I think we can all agree that the Dove interior is pretty much the worst idea, ever. though. The E46 M was very iconic. Bmw is still making great cars. I mean, if you want the predecessors to these things, just get over to the 2 series forum. The M2 is going to crush it. The 3 series isn't really the right comparison anymore. But I also love the F30.
Dove grey doesn't look terrible when it's in that condition. Not saying I'd trade my imola interior for it, but it's not nauseating like it becomes after it's worn.
curious to know why this car wasn't driven for so many years....parts still degrade even without use. At that mileage don't expect to drive a carefree car. Work will still need to be done. Not as much as a 100k maintenance but still.
^^ What do you like more about the E36 M3 than the E46 M3?
I am not very familiar with the newer versions of M3 but I know if given the choice between an E36 and an E46 I am taking the E46.
E46 M3>F80 M3>E90 M3>E30 M3>E36 M3 Euro>E36 M3 US. All very close to eachother though. I think they're all fantastic cars when brand new, or at this point in time, maintained and modded properly. (No junk mods like aftermarket HIDs, poor aftermarket wheels, aftermarket headunits, torn up steering wheels, torn up subframes etc) Given all that, I'd still vote the E46 M3 as being the best M3 and arguably the best BMW ever made. It comes from an era where BMWs were magic. In the words of Clarkson on the M3 CSL: it's BMW at its absolute best.
The above person who said it wasn't that fast, etc. That kind of attitude holds true in muscle cars where one # means everything. An M3 is not meant to excel in any one area but to be great in all areas. Judged in totality, of course M3s or similar (IS-F, C63s, 2.3 16V 190Es, etc) can't outperform true sports cars like the 911 or Corvette. While both vehicle types can perform great things, true sports cars have the advantage as they are focused. Any real enthusiast would recognize this.
