I FINALLY DID IT! Hagus mirror installed!
Yeah you read it right, "mirror" as in ONE! I spent over 2 hours messing with one freakin mirror, and now I'm too tired to even put the other one on tonight! So will I be driving tomorrow like an idiot with mismatching mirrors: YES.
I started out not being able to get the door off, until I realized there are a row of clips across the top of the door that don't really snap out, but sort of unhook. (mad thanks to Tim for helping me through that part over IM!) Then you have the tedious task of unclipping all the OEM wires and putting the Hagus ones in the OEM connector. Which BTW, Hagus only uses 5 wires, even though the Hagus connector is a 6 plug and OEM is 12 plug. So really, you put 5 of the Hagus wires into the 12 plug OEM connector to make it fit. (it sounds kind of confusing, and is, unless your actually DOING it) ALSO- I noticed when looking at the Hagus wiring instructions that it would be VERY easy for someone to mistake the left and right sides of the OEM connector when installing the Hagus mirrors to it. Which would then I assume reverse all the polarity or mess up the settings in general. I only mention this because someone posted about their new Hagus mirrors heating up and breaking, and malfunctioning. This could be the case. Other than that, I'm left with one Hagus mirror on and one stock one for now. The power functions work perfectly, and in all the right directions, however I gave up the tilt and memory functions as indicated. I don't think I'll miss them, I'm the only one who drives my car. I'll be installing the other one tomorrow when I get home, along with hopefully my Cup Kit this weekend. Look for some better pics after I wash and get these things done. Any questions, feel free to ask, maybe now I can help. |

Stock Mirrors Suck
Can't go wrong with Hagus or //M3. If I had to do it over again, I would probably do the //M3 ones so I don't lose functionality, but I like my Hagus ones regardless. IMHO, the rectangular stock mirrors are ugly and are a must to change if modding your car.

Here is the Hagus wiring diagram for those who need it.
I don't have a scanner, so i shot it with my digi. Not perfect quality, but enough to understand it.
PS: hope this helps Huyner123 |
