Shocks & Struts for 01 330i sport suspension (under $350)

Hi all,

I'm looking for the best pick for replacing my factory shocks/struts with something OEM or better quality for under $350.
I was looking at the Bilstein B4, but I have some confusion if I can use them since I have the sport package, and want to reuse my stock springs.
Will the B4s work? Is there a better option for the sport package at a sub $350 level?

Thanks!!

In this price range look at both the Billy B4 & the Koni Str.T on Forum Sponsor Tire Rack, if there's a "sport" option, choose that part number.

Part numbers for the sport b4's. Front left 22-139931. Front right 22-139948. Rear 19-103150. AJUSA has them for 285 shipped if you use the coupon code 5off4. Make sure to get new mounts too. Preferably lemforder.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I was looking for!

I plan to do the job sometime in June. I'll make sure to update with how the installation goes, and what I think of the ride quality.

Overdue, but I finally got around to installing the Bilstein sport b4s from AJUSA. I also installed new mounts and reinforcement plates both front and rear.

Wasn't too hard, and the car is much so smoother/quieter and easier to control in the corners! I had original struts/shocks with 160k on them. Definitely worth the upgrade! Thanks for your help!

Hi DLab330,

I'm looking to do something similar: I have a 2003 330CI Coupe with 167,000 miles and original suspension still intact. I did replace the front control arm bushings recently though.

I want to replace suspension just like you. I'm going to get the following:

1) struts

2) shocks

3) mounts and reinforcement plates for both front and rears

Is there anything else you recommend that I buy? Thanks

I did this last summer. I did sport B4's, new mounts and reinforced mounts front and rear.

I went with the Rogue Engineering RSM's and they've been great. Couldn't be happier with the B4's either. Although if I ever replace them again, I'll either go to Koni yellows or Bilstein HD's.

Hi,

If your swaybar links are in rough shape, it's a good time to replace those too, since they will be partial removed during the strut installation. Otherwise I think you're on the right path, GL
