looking for 1 sub. not too much money.. help

well i m intrested in purchasing a SUB. looking into 1 sub, i dont want to make it look hot or what not. something like that jl one that fits under that trunk.

i wanna be able to hook it up to my stok HK amp, and when i turn it up it will be BASSSY

any ideas please?

Seems to me that the way to go if you are on a budget and want just to improve the HK sound is the JL Stealthbox and the 250/1 amp combo. Just connecting a aftermarket sub to the HK amp will not do IMO...

I can tell you for sure how it sounds by next week when I recieve my JL combo...

The Stealthbox was $400.00 new... I cannot get it cheaper. The 250/1 amp was $369.00, but I think that I will return it because I found a brand new one for $299.00. I need to double check warranties and shipping cost in that other store before I do that, though...

Another option for you can be the Infinity Basslink, cheaper, easier to install, amp and sub integrated in one assemby for around $350.00...

spend a little and and get an aftermarket amp. set you budget here so we can help you out more

I want something with base, not tooo strong. nothing fancy
and if its possible to wire to stock amp..the HK amp

im trying to create a good system for myself, and i was thinking about mounting a 12 JLW3 right up against the ski pass. But know after seeing these stealthbox's i kind of like them. Does anyone have any experience with these and do they hit hard? Cuz i have heard that the bmw trunks are very well insulated and subs dont sound very loud outside of them. HOw is the sound quality and is it a good amount of bass? Also what would it cost for two of these?

how is the basslink setup? does it sound decent. I am in the same boat, i just want to add a little more umph for rock, pop, and techno and will not shake the car or gimme a headache.
