DDE wiring failure.....

I am still having problems with my phosphorus halos. Here is what is happening....
After installing the fuse, the passanger side dde's light up, but the fuse blows after a short while.(in the past when they worked they ran extremly hot causing the + terminal box and plastic wiring connections to melt) I have checked and rechecked my connecection and eveything appears to be correct, however. I lost one of the clips that connects the two halo wires to the 2 wires coming form transforer box, so I cut the connections and reconnected them seperately w/ silicone tape, could this be causing a problem? Please help, I am going crazy, i have had them for 3 months and still havent been able to run them correctly

I'm having a simliar problem.. it seems that one of my blue halo wires is not responding to anything anymore.. My black connector coming from the lightbox overheated and starting smoking a tiny bit.. needless to say I burned myself disconnecting it lol.. but I disconnect the power..ground.. and lightboxes so they're sitting in my trunk..

Are these the physophyre halos? If so, you may not be insulating the wires enough. Solder the wires back and heavily tape the soldered connection. Several layers of tape will be needed to prevent arcing. We had a similar problem when trying to relocate the balasts for DDEs.
