Sellers-Payment Scam beware

This is a no-brainer but someone on the boards reported being duped by this scam. Someone has attempting to run this scam by inquiring about my car for sale.

I have gotten emails about an interested party for my bimmer from my autotrader and car dot com ads.

Want to send me/you a cashier check in an amount greater than your asking price. They then ask you to refund the balance once you cash the check, in the meantime the check is bad and you have delivered legit funds from your account.

The perpetrator in my case used Jamie davis globawheels@yahoo.com

I too have received similar emails regarding my Audi posted on autotrader. The name and email of mine was Silk Brook, akudec2@yahoo.com. He claimed he was from Holland. I had another, but deleted it.
