Help with security system

my car was recently hit while parked on the outskirts of the parking lot next to the building where i work, i parked it with only one side facing other cars ... the other side was facing a tree lined curb. It was still hit and caused 1400 dollars worth of damage to the front passenger side door and mirror.

I want some type of secuirty system that will alert me when the car is hit or the alarm goes off, does anybody know of something like this or have any ideas on what i can do .. all help is appreciated .. thanks in advance

How far away is your car from your office? Can your see it?

You can get a two way alarm (clifford, Avital, etc) that will been like a pager when a sensor goes off or when your lock/unlock. I have one and love it. It works great anywhere on our two acres. I don't know if you'd be able to get a signal from your office. If you can see your car, are on a high floor, have a window office, etc you chances will be much better to get the signal.

Almost all alarms have a shock/impact sensor and most are dual stage. If something hits it lightly, it chirps a few times. If something hits it hard, it sets the entire alarm off. On a two way system, all that information would be sent to your keychain remote as it beeps at you.

Expect to pay a hefty amount though. The alarm itself can cost your around $300 plus another $200-$300 for install w/o remote start and $300-$500 with remote start.

thanks for all the advice guys .. my office is not that far away from the parking lot, i am about 90 feet away from visible distance (since i park in the corner of the lot) for a total distance of about 140 150ish feet. that is exactly what im looking for cynical .. something that will alert me when the alarm is triggered and what would be even better is if it told me why it was triggered or what part of the car was hit/affected. do you guys know any models that would do this in particular ? also any good shops in central nj that can install for a decent fee? are any of the links below good and will they do what im looking for? thanks again guys
