i need to know what's an 'offset'? i have decided to buy some custom made kinesis wheels. i want the wider rear wheel lip over the front wheel look. does an offset have anything to do with that? for the longest i thought the staggered wheel width made that happen. now that with so an expensive purchase on the line i need to be sure.

can anyone 'drop science on brotha'?

offset describes the location of the center piece (part with the spokes), in relation to the wheel's base...
