whew.. finally some extra bass..

i kept everything factory and just threw in an amp & subs.
(HK system)

damn rain all day! tomorrow i'll mess around with the settings to optimize the bass

looks nice.... what did u get? jl audio 500/1 amp and which jl audio subs did u get? How does it sound? How did u wire the amp, connected to the rear speakers?

used a peripheral vendetta II line-level converter connected to the HK sub wires

sounds great. gotta work out couple of "rattles" today

built all the pieces myself.. the box and that lil piece for the amp..

it was a fun project

do I need the peripheral vendetta II line-level converter if Im planning to wired the amp to the rear speakers instead. I don't have the hk system (no hk sub). What does this line-level converter do? ...Planning to get the 500/1 amp and the cs210-w3 enclosed subs.

How does it sound? Enough bass? I don't have the ski pass. Is that a concern?

basically in order to keep everything factory (Headunit, etc) u use a line-level convertor to get RCA out of speaker wire signals.

there's good enough bass for me.

u'll get enough bass with that setup if u're looking to keep everything the way it is and just want some extra bass.

Can you post the wire colors of where to tap into the pre-amp signal. I have the VenII, but haven't installed it yet.

the JL amps are great! no need for a remote wire either. just use the speaker wire going into ur stock sub and tap it into RCA jacks and plug it into the JL amp and use the speaker level input setting and ur set. the amp turn on is automatic (if you set it). it senses the signl from the RCAs to turn on the amp.

hey bro,
i have 2 10s in my trunk now..how do you fix the rattling?? I've tried tightening my license plate but it still rattles like crazy. I have to turn the bass down to almost nothing to avoid the rattles..anything suggestion?
