Toyo T1r Vs. BFgoodrich G-force T/A KDW2
any recommendations ??? Which 1 would be a better choice ?? I am running 19x8 in front and 19x9 in rear. I was thinking 235/35/19F
245/35/19R to be safe from rubbing. Thanks on any inputs guys. Ray |

Toyo vs BF...
I don't have any expierence with either tire first hand, but from what I've read/heard the Toyo would be your best bet.
The Toyo is quieter, the BFGoodrich gives off a lot of "road noise" and the Toyo has rounder sidewall that will accomodate larger tires and less rubbing issues. "Search" Toyo's for more feedback from many satisfied owners, I haven't heard any negatives on this tire. Good luck.

I have the T1-S Toyo's and I'm really pleased with them. I've found the performance comparable with the Michelin Pilot PS2's which if you look on the Tire Rack's site were rated one of their best performing tires. The T1-R's I think are a little better than the T1-S's so you couldn't go wrong. Excellent value as well.
I did a track day with a bunch of guys with vipers, twin turbo porsches and corvettes..and the conversations got around to tires...quite a few of them said the T1-S's were great tires in their experience. I don't know much about BFG's, but I honestly don't remember hearing anyone saying great things about them. I'm running an 18 x 8.5" rim with 235 40 r18's. I don't think they look quite right. The tread seems to be narrower than the rim. It could be a t1-s issue, but next time, I'd go with a 245 for width on those rims. You'll be really pleased with the Toyo's if you get them...my buddy did quite a bit of research on this topic on his Mazda RX8 boards as well. They all like the T1-S's...and the T1 R's are better. |

I have had the BF Goodriches for 3 years now on my 19's... thier thread wear is really really good in my experience, they are sticky as hell, much better then the stock conti's not quite as good as my S0-2's but still pertty good, weird thing is they are not noisy at high speed but low speed 5-15 mph they are the noiseiest tires i have ever owned, they are also pretty fender friendly witha slammed car like mine
