Have you been in an M45? I don't think the car is missing any "options."

i second this statement... now if it was between the 530 and m45 then id choose the m45. but the 545/550 wins hands down in this scenario.

Even though they are very close in performance, Handling, 0-60, 1/4 ect, I would go with the 545 its just feels right, in terms of performance. If you want luxury with similar performance get the M45.

Isn't the 5er more luxurious than the M45?

My Ride: A CAR
Thumbs Up Test !!!

There both really nice cars and if you guys get a chance go drive an M45 it might shock you quick and quite and all the options you can think of def more than the 545i even with it being loaded thats what is kinda making me think which to get plus the M45 has 19's which are nice and comes with a factory body kit which looks pretty sick thats why i asked you guys what you think....

Even if the performance of both cars was the same, I'd go with the E60 over the M because of the look. In the ads the M45 looks ok, but in person, I think it's hideous.

The M45 comes almsot fully loaded for the similar price. But its personal preference like the guy above me stated. Just test drive both and make your decision from there.

The M45 comes with a pretty incredible set of "gadgets" that aren't available on the 5-series, including ventilated seats, rear seat entertainment system, DVD audio, and reclining rear seats, and even with all those things costs less than the 545i.

The 545i has a slight edge in performance, but it's slight. The BMW comes with free maintenance, which the M doesn't. Having driven both I'd still take a 545i over an M45, and I'd take a 550i all day long over one.

If you're a gadget junkie, get the M. Otherwise get the BMW.
