Mine should be here this week.
But I know Trkmedic69 (Nick) and Edwars2 (Steve) both have them. They love them from what I hear, no noises, squeaks, or loss of brake power...
I'll let you know first hand in a couple of days. |

i recall that we had to struggle to get front axxis brake pads to fit (real tight), but the mintex slid in pretty easy. i'm beginning to think that the rear brake pads is causing the rattling i am hearing. will check tonight.

is it hard to install the pads yourself? i'm hoping to get around to doing it one day. just too lazy. gotta keep telling myself that it'll take less time installing than cleaning my rims twice a week! the pads been sitting in my room for almost a year now.

It is the rear pads that rattle. After countless hours of trying to diagnose the problem, I went to my local Pep Boys and found this goo that you can apply to the back of the pads that makes them fit more securely so they won't move around. The goo is red and dries up like rubber cement.

Also did you try appling anit-squeal compound? Thats what I used and it certainly has helped since I orginally put them on without it. Hope you can fix the rattle! Let me know! |

the thing i remember, is that when installing the front pads, we had a hard time seating the pad in the caliper because the clip on the back of the pad seemed large (not sure if that is the best way to describe it) and had to be forced. while on the rear, the pad was seated rather easily. i know the clips aren't what holds the caliper in place, but it's the only thing i could think of....

ive had them on my
328i for a year or so now i guess. and love em.. no brake dust is great.. and the best part is when allllll bmw owners think you just washed you car but its actually been 2 weeks , but since the wheels look clean the car looks clean
all bmw owners know the brake dust issue , it sucks

I know all about that...

Yea I agree with Jake. I never wash my wheels unless I was the car because I dont have! Seriously all BMW owners should get a set of these, their one of the best mods for the money without a doubt. And their cheap as hell like $50 somethin for a set of 4 pads. Don't forget to apply anti-squeal grease so you dont get rattling or squealing.

Just go to Pep Boys and ask for the anti-squeal paste for brake pads....I know it sounds dumb but they should know exactly what you need for putting them on yourself without the noises afterwards. SkiX
