Q about Dunlop M3 winter, LM25, Alpin PA2, etc

q about these "performance" snow tires in 17" or 16" sizes.. can they go through 6-8" of fresh powder snow? or are they useless in that type of situation and do I need WS50 or Graspics? thx!

I have L22's (LM25 is newest version of that tire) on my 323 and Dunlop M3's on my 528 and I've never gotten stuck.

You'll likely be able to 'get through' on either type. You'll want to decide if just getting through is good enough, or if you're willing to give up some dry grip and steering response to go to a Q rated winter tire and start passing SUVs in the snow
