Rain Sensor Installation

Has anyone installed the auto-winshield wipers in their 3, or know if it is dooable or not?

It is doable only if you replace the windshield. The rain sensor module is actually at the base of the rearview mirror mount. It is attached with a special process to the actual windshield. You would also need to replace the rearview mirror and also the LCM (depending on your year). Bavaraian Autosport sells an aftermarket kit that will do the same thing.
