Cat-back vs. non-cat-back exhausts....

I understand that exhausts all provide similar and minimal gains. Accepting this, I have assumed that a full cat-back system (like borla) would provide "better" gains than a non-cat back system.

Is this assumption - that cat-back will provide more gains than non-cat back (even though it may be minimally more) - correct??

I know Borla makes a cat-back system and I believe that Supersprint makes one (that is quite expensive?).... Who else makes them? Anyone have any experiences or comments to offer?
