November 5-6, 2005 - 2-day Autocross at Qualcomm (West Lot) San Diego

Special 2-day autocross at Qualcomm on Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 5-6) hosted by the San Diego Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America.

I will be there and was wondering if anyone is going.

Gates open at 6:30am (I highly recommend being there at this time as the event fills up quickly). It's $45/day or $90 for both days (lunch is included). They will accept 80 or 90 cars for the event and BMWCCA members are given priority. However, if you are not a BMWCCA member you can join and bring your email confirmation and they will accept this as membership (this is what I did the first time I autocrossed at Qualcomm). They do accept non-bmw cars but space is limited. So if you're bringing a non-bmw you will need to be there early if you want to run.

If you've never been there before. Depending how the day goes, typically you will have 6-9 practice runs and 3 timed runs. There will be instructors at the event (not as many on Sunday) to help out, give pointers, etc.

More information can be found on the website:

http://www.sdbmwcca.com/

This is an awesome event and probably one of the best if not the best autocross location on the West Coast. Hope to see some forum members there!

I was planning on going, but stuff always pops up...

There's an autoX Nov. 13th at Irwindale Speedway that I'll be going to, though.
